This was stated by member of the Mejlis Riza Shevkiev, reports the resource “Krym.realii”.

According to Shevkiev, at 03.15 Moscow time, three people wearing masks approached the Majlis building on Shmidt Street. Two men immediately stood at the front door, blocking the exit from the building; one of them had a pistol in his hands. The third man quickly climbed the gas pipe to the Ukrainian flag, which was installed on the facade of the building, and tore it down.

“After the Ukrainian flag was dropped to the ground, unknown people picked it up and quickly left,” said Riza Shevkiev.

The Mejlis members immediately called the police. The incident was recorded by a CCTV camera and the footage will be handed over to law enforcement.
