An explosive device under a gas pipeline went off in Simferopol
A medium-pressure gas pipeline exploded in Simferopol.
The explosives were placed on a pipe with a diameter of 133 mm on Balaklavskaya Street in the Pnevmatika microdistrict, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The explosion occurred around 21:30 p.m. Unknown people climbed over the fence of the gas station and planted explosives. Experts suggest that its power was up to 200 grams of TNT. The pipe did not burst, but was bent, and the pressure in the network did not drop - gas continued to flow into the houses.
A small crater formed at the site. A car and trailer parked nearby were damaged by the explosion. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Rescuers and investigators went to the scene. They will establish the details of the incident.
Let us remind you that in January of this year investigators already went to Balaklavsk. In one of the garage cooperatives, the owner painted the gates in the colors of the Ukrainian flag with the symbols of the European Union. Having reaped the benefits of popularity and interest from law enforcement agencies, the garage owner promised to repaint the gates, but specified what colors.
