For the second day in a row, unknown people are tinting Taras Shevchenko’s mustache on his monument in Simferopol yellow-blue.

At the foot of the monument they also draw a trident coat of arms and leave the inscription “Glory to Ukraine”.
In response, Simferopol utility workers promptly clean the Kobzar monument.
So that the identities of the “artists” could be established, and they could wipe off Shevchenko’s mustache with their own hands, the capital’s mayor Gennady Bakharev instructed the city management department to install a video surveillance camera above Kobzar.
