A draft dodger who tried to give a bribe at a military registration and enlistment office was detained in Simferopol
FSB officers detained a local resident in Simferopol who tried to bribe an employee of the military commissariat in order to avoid military service.
This was reported by the FSB press service for the Southern Military District, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A resident of the Crimean capital was caught red-handed while trying to pay a military man 110 thousand rubles to be declared unfit for service due to health reasons.
“The Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, based on materials from the security agency, initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of Russia. The Central District Court of Simferopol found the defendant guilty of the charge and imposed a fine of 200 thousand rubles,” the statement says.
