The event was attended by about 100 people from youth to military veterans with communist paraphernalia, posters depicting Stalin, etc. The opening was not without a scandal - an elderly Crimean Tatar woman was outraged by what was happening, describing the Soviet leader as an “executioner,” but she was quickly removed from the event by the police.
In speeches before the opening of the board, the communists expressed regret that now in Crimea there is no “iron hand” of a politician like Stalin, capable of bringing order to the peninsula.
The board was inaugurated to the accompaniment of bravura music from the Soviet era.
