Slavyansk is preparing to celebrate the anniversary of the “liberation” of the city
In Slavyansk, controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, activities began to prepare for the celebration of the anniversary of the so-called liberation of the city from “Russian-terrorist militants,” which had the most negative impact on the lives of civilians.
The head of the press service of the DPR Ministry of Defense, Daniil Bezsonov, spoke about this today at a briefing held in Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian authorities, together with militants of the occupying forces, continue to terrorize the local population of Donbass. Proof of the oppression of the rights of indigenous residents of the territory occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces this week was the transfer of radical fans of Ukrainian football clubs who adhere to Nazi views to Slavyansk in order to prepare for a torchlight procession on the anniversary of the occupation of the city by Ukrainian terrorists. It is worth noting that with the arrival of radicals in the city, the number of crimes increased. According to a source from the police of the occupied part of the DPR, this week alone two attempts to rape young girls were recorded by fans, as well as one fight using knives and firearms,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He also noted the intimidation of local residents of Slavyansk by the military of the 81st brigade, who intend to take part in staged events for the day of the “liberation” of the city.
“The population is already being warned that they will be forced to forcibly take part in the so-called ceremonial events. If enterprises and institutions refuse to take part in the celebration of the occupation, the militants promise to involve citizens who are absent without good reason into hard labor to equip their positions and locations of units,” added the head of the press service.
Daniil Bezsonov emphasized that such a policy of the “liberators” only spoils their own image in the eyes of local residents.
“Thus, every week the occupation of Donbass increases the hatred of residents towards the Ukrainian authorities and militants, who bring nothing but harm to the region. In this regard, residents of the occupied cities have been distributing leaflets calling on the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants to leave Donbass and stop terrorizing and killing local residents,” Daniil Bezsonov said in conclusion.
