Next year, water prices for Kiev residents will rise by 50%
In 2019, the estimated tariff for water supply and sanitation services for Kiev residents, according to Kyivvodokanal estimates, will change by an average of 49,6% and amount to 23,17 hryvnia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

It is noted that the calculation of tariffs for 2019 was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the resolution of the National Commission that carries out state regulation in the fields of energy and utilities dated March 10.03.2016, 302,303 No. XNUMX.
“The revision is due to the increase in the cost of electricity, fuels and lubricants, rent, reagents, as well as changes in the level of depreciation and repairs of fixed assets,” noted Irina Kirilyuk, director of the Department of Economics and Finance.
General Director of Kievvodokanal Dmitry Novitsky, in turn, emphasized that if tariffs are lower, consequences of both a technical and financial nature are possible.
“The enterprise will lose the ability to respond to emergency restoration work and carry it out in full. Also, a big problem is the outflow of qualified personnel, and without increasing the tariff, we will continue to lose them,” he said.
At the same time, Novitsky emphasized that the calculation of tariffs will be submitted to NEURC only after all comments have been considered.
Currently, the tariff for residents of multi-storey buildings for centralized cold water supply and sanitation services is UAH 15,492.
