A Ukrainian terrorist with a fake Hungarian passport was detained in Slovakia
The Slovak police made a statement about the detention in the city of Kosice at the request of Kyiv of a Ukrainian suspected of committing a number of terrorist acts, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Kiev edition of European Truth with reference to Slovak media.
“He was detained at the request of Kyiv through Interpol,” said Milan Filiczko, a spokesman for the Kosice prosecutor’s office.
Journalists do not disclose the full name of the detainee. The Noviny publication reports that he lived in Kosice for two years and appears in the orientation as “Vladimir G”. It is noted that this man, a citizen of Ukraine, received a Hungarian passport under a false name.
It is emphasized that we are talking about charges of terrorism.
According to the police, the detainee is suspected of “committing crimes such as causing intentional harm to health, threats to kill, illegally holding hostages, banditry, terrorism, attacks on officials and other crimes.” In addition, according to Slovak television, he was involved in supplying weapons to terrorist groups.
The Kosice District Court now has 48 hours to decide whether to extradite the suspect to Ukraine.
“The man is now in police custody, and if he is found guilty of the crimes he is charged with, he faces up to 15 years in prison,” said Slovak police spokesman Martin Waldl.
