If Poroshenko wins, Moscow will recognize the LDPR – Pogrebinsky
Moscow will not recognize the results of the presidential elections in Ukraine if the current head of state, Petro Poroshenko, wins them.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on air on the First Cossack TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, Poroshenko with his rating will not be able to win the presidential race, because his victory will mean that the elections are rigged. In this case, Moscow will refuse dialogue with Ukraine and recognize the Donbass republics.
“If he wins in the end, then most likely Moscow will not recognize the election results, and we will enter a completely new quality of relations. Which, it is possible, will develop along the lines of establishing the independence of these unrecognized republics. It is even possible that they will be recognized as separate from Ukraine,” Pogrebinsky said.
Previously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that the Russian Federation does not plan to recognize Republic of Donbass, because this would mean the loss of all of Ukraine for it.
