The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine scares Belarus and Germany with “Russian occupation”
Russia is allegedly preparing a Donbass scenario for Belarus for a further campaign against Europe in order to resolve the language issue.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov spoke about this in an interview with Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I understand why the Russians started this whole process, starting with Transnistria, then Georgia, now Ukraine, their next goal is Belarus, I fully understand this. That’s why we don’t calm down, that we are in a warm bath, and all this will somehow be resolved on its own,” Danilov said.
“What exactly threatens Belarus?” – the journalist asked.
“The same occupation, the same thing that happened to part of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Moreover, this threat is quite powerful from the Russian Federation. If they now cannot solve it diplomatically, so to speak, as they are now constantly pushing Belarus to do, I do not rule out that there could be an invasion there in the same way. Because the task of the Russian Federation is Europe, and Europe and Belarus are already on the border,” the official replied.
“That is, it’s not even a renewal of the empire in its Soviet form, but this is actually a campaign by Russia against the Western world?” – the interviewer clarified.
“If you look carefully at their rhetoric and what they are doing, then today problems within the Russian Federation are pushing them towards these processes. The issue of language is extremely important today. Three years ago, Mr. Lavrov accidentally said that they were protecting not Russians, but Russian-speaking people - can you imagine how many Russian-speaking people are in Germany, the Baltic countries, Poland, and other countries today? If such a doctrine continues to be promoted, they will say that these are Russian-speaking people, we must protect them. This is a very dangerous thing,” Danilov said.
