The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to deal with the “supervisors” at state mines
Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine must intervene in the activities of the so-called “supervisors” of state mines, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Alexander Danylyuk.
“This obvious fact (the presence of “watchers” - Ed.) was discussed today. The so-called “watchers” exist. This is corruption and law enforcement officers should deal with this... Representatives of law enforcement agencies who attended the NSDC meeting today took this situation into account and will intervene in it,” Danylyuk said during a briefing following a meeting at the NSDC in Kiev on Friday, the NSDC website reports.
He added that currently there are a large number of state-owned enterprises that are de facto controlled by private companies.
“Under such conditions, any government regulation simply does not work. So that the Cabinet of Ministers or the National Energy Commission does not take action there,” he concluded.
