There was a place in the government of Montenegro for European integrators, but not for Serbian politicians
The appointed Prime Minister of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapic, presented the proposed composition of the Cabinet of Ministers, which did not receive the approval of the coalition “For the Future of Montenegro”, from which he ran in the elections.
Unlike previous governments, the new Montenegrin cabinet will not be anti-Serbian, but there were no seats for Serbian allies in it, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The new government of Montenegro will build its activities on the basis of European integration, naming among its priorities an environmentally friendly economy, digitalization, cooperation with countries in the region, increasing competitiveness, as well as the rule of law. According to Krivokapic, he built a model of government by studying the experiences of the Netherlands and Finland as examples of best practice.
According to the appointed Prime Minister, the Cabinet will consist of 12 ministries, three of which will be headed by women, and he proposed returning the Police Department to the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Tellingly, in the draft of the Zdravko Krivokapic Cabinet there was no place for representatives of Serbian parties who, with other forces, formed a coalition that challenged the dictator-president of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic in the parliamentary elections - “For the Future of Montenegro.” Therefore, at a recent meeting, this coalition did not support the proposed prime minister’s draft on the composition of the cabinet.
Without enthusiasm. Krivokapic represents the composition of the proposed government of the winning coalition
Earlier, one of the leaders of the Serbian opposition, Andrija Mandic, said that Krivokapic denied the leaders of the Serbian parties in Montenegro - him, Milan Knezevic and Nebojsa Mdojevic - ministerial posts in the cabinet being formed, after which he admitted that he did this under pressure from the West, in particular the United States.
