The Security Council of Ukraine announced terrorist attacks on a gas pipeline in the Russian Federation
Ukraine faces the most difficult winter in terms of loss of energy capacity, despite the fact that the issue of gas supplies from Russia remains open.
Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The calculations given by [Energy] Minister German Galushchenko for 30% are absolutely incorrect. This is not true. And it can be noted that absolutely everything that could be put in order has already been put in order. And there is no need to scare the population that we allegedly lack 30% of our energy capacity. This is not true. I say it again. You need to track all this very correctly.
On the day when the attack took place, yes, indeed, 30% of us were there, they had a desire to destroy them so that they would not work for our country at all. Today we have restored almost everywhere, power supply has been restored in all territories, we prepared in advance for all these processes, we understand what is happening, and there is no need to scare people,” Danilov said.
However, he added that it will be very difficult.
“This will be one of the most difficult winters we have to endure. But I can note that the enemy, despite the fact that they have plans to destroy our critical infrastructure, and today we are talking not only about the energy industry, but about electrics. Today we are talking about a gas pipeline.
We do not exclude that the Russian Federation may resort to its usual terrorist acts on the territory of its country through its gas transportation system in order to blame our country for this,” added the head of the Ukrainian Security Council.
