Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko stated this today at parliamentary hearings on preventing interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation.
“The issue of involving minors in mass political events also requires additional attention, which jeopardizes the safety of our children. We know that further attempts to involve them by hook or by crook in protest actions are being made these days in anticipation of Russia Day on June 12,” Matvienko said.
Let us remind you that oppositionist Alexey Navalny is calling on his supporters, the majority of whom are minors, to participate in mass protests on June 12. He has already managed to gather people in many cities of Russia for rallies on March 26.
At first, after these rallies, the State Duma of the Russian Federation tried not to mention Navalny’s name. LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky openly forbade his colleagues to do this.
