The Federation Council demands an end to the black PR campaign against communist governors
The media, in the interests of the ruling United Russia party, staged an organized persecution of representatives of the opposition Communist Party of the Russian Federation. In particular, the governor of the Irkutsk region, communist Sergei Levchenko, came under attack.
Senator from the Irkutsk region Vyacheslav Markhaev stated this at a meeting of the Federation Council.
According to the politician, about 200 materials were released against Levchenko, which have signs of being ordered.
“Sometimes it seems that government propagandists at all levels are guided by the Machiavelli principle - the more monstrous the lie, the more willingly they will believe it...
Officially, there is no Ministry of Propaganda in Russia, but someone still runs the Russian machine of monstrous lies. It primarily targets the leaders of opposition parties.
Look, more than two hundred ordered materials were released against the governor of the Irkutsk region, Sergei Levchenko. The head of Khakassia, Valentin Konovalov, and presidential candidate Pavel Grudinin are subject to endless attacks; such methods of political struggle are not only immoral, but also threaten the peaceful development of our country,” Markhaev said.
