The Federation Council announced shameless Western interference in the presidential elections
The Federation Council will appeal to parliaments, international parliamentary organizations, and the UN with information “about the gross interference of the West in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation and the electoral process.”
Speaker Valentina Matvienko was instructed to prepare such an appeal at today's meeting of the Federation Council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You cannot remain silent and not react,” Matvienko said.
She also ordered the publication of the open part of the report on interference in the Russian elections, prepared by the commission for the protection of the sovereignty of the Federation Council.
Chairman of the commission Andrei Klimov said that 12 million cyber attacks were carried out on Russia during the elections, illegal platforms for “alternative voting” were created, and protest actions were prepared under the guise of a “protest afternoon tea.”
“Perhaps for the first time in history, the enemies of the Fatherland used almost their entire destructive arsenal at the same time, starting from the content of defectors and other traitors under their control, to diplomats accredited in Russia and even senior officials from unfriendly countries.
A day before the end of the voting, signatures were actively collected at the UN site among the countries' plenipotentiary representatives under a provocative statement against the elections taking place in Russia. But the world majority rejected this Russophobic idea,” Klimov concluded.
