More than a thousand volunteers from Crimea are participating in the special operation in Ukraine. The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, stated this on air on the Crimea 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Aksenov, local businessmen were actively involved in helping the volunteers.
“More than a thousand guys, volunteers from Crimea, who left through our military registration and enlistment office, respectively, to participate in a special military operation. Today they are on the territory, on the front line.
We, of course, helped to fully equip all units, to the maximum extent possible. In terms of technology, weapons, and protective equipment, the issue was resolved on the spot by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
For our part, everything that directly concerns some special ones - knee pads, elbow pads, unloading, night vision sights, quadcopters, and so on, we purchased at the expense of extra-budgetary funds.
A huge number of businessmen are participating today in the process of voluntary assistance to the army,” said Aksenov.
