300 people have already been included in the lists for exchange with Ukraine - representative of the LPR
During the Minsk negotiations, representatives of the LPR and Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup managed to agree on lists for the exchange of about 280 people; all that remained was to wait for the necessary signal from Kyiv.
LPR Foreign Minister Vladislav Deinego spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The group continued to work on developing lists of wanted persons. There is already a confirmed part of these lists; these are those persons whom we can prepare for exchange in the near future. We are talking about about 280 people on both sides. It was this number that the coordinator of the humanitarian subgroup called when he reported the results of their work to the Contact Group.
Today, the Ukrainian side had to take some pause so that for those people whom they confirmed, they could carry out all the necessary procedures to prepare them for the exchange, which they need to complete so that these people can return home.
They took a time out, but we agreed that both sides would inform the working group on humanitarian issues on these lists, where there are a total of 280 people, about their readiness, and as soon as the working group receives information that all people who are included in the lists of identified and confirmed, will be ready to exchange them, at this moment the working group on humanitarian issues will decide on the next date for the exchange,” he explained.
At the same time, the LPR representative noted that the lists may still be replenished before the exchange takes place.
