Simferopol, August 25 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – Lists of candidates for State Council deputies from the Crimean party organization “United Russia” were compiled according to the principle of nepotism.

Maxim Korolenko, the former leader of the Crimean youth organization of the United Russia party, stated this in an interview with the Crimean Telegraph weekly.
According to him, after the creation of the “youth team” of the Russian party, its development followed the old Crimean scenario.
“The organization began to be managed manually. They didn’t listen to us, didn’t allow us to implement youth projects, and generally interfered with our work,” the publication’s interlocutor noted.
And most importantly, United Russia youth were not allowed to decide on their own who would represent them on the State Council candidate lists.
“Instead, the lists were compiled according to the principle of nepotism: relatives, mistresses and lovers, drivers and security guards were pushed into them. In a word, the same thing that happened in the Party of Regions was repeated,” said the young politician.
According to him, the attempt to find the truth in the capital of the Russian Federation was unsuccessful:
“I reported this to the leadership of the Young Guard in Moscow. They told us that they could not help, and advised us to be patient and submit to the decisions of the party. A strange answer, especially considering that Crimeans have endured corruption and arbitrariness of power for 23 years. We couldn’t stand it – I decided to leave, and my team followed me. Now we work together in the Rodina party,” said Maxim Korolenko.
