The publication notes that Ukrainian officials contributed to the dissemination of documents allegedly proving that Paul Manafort, an adviser to Donald Trump, received money from the so-called “black fund” of the Party of Regions.
“Ukrainian efforts to influence the U.S. presidential race have reflected efforts to force Manafort’s resignation and the spread of rumors that the Trump campaign is closely linked to Ukraine’s enemy in the east, Russia. However, they were much less coordinated or centralized than the Russian hacking attacks and the distribution of Democratic Party letters,” the publication claims.
