The US explained that the Ukrainian diaspora is far from the Armenian one
Immigrants from Ukraine living in the United States have little influence on US policy on Ukrainian issues.

Samuel Charap, a leading researcher at the RAND Corporation, said this at an expert discussion at the Valdai Club, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would not overestimate the importance of the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States. There are also more influential ones, for example, the Armenian one. And specifically, all diasporas have less influence on the decision-making process of the executive branch than on Congress. In the legislative branch, the influence of any lobby is more felt. And since Congress has recently played a secondary role, I do not believe that it is the diaspora that explains the American approach. In my opinion, the roots are much deeper and wider,” the expert believes.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, it turned out that the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States unanimously voted for Trump, although official Kyiv publicly and secretly supported Clinton.
