The USA openly stated that the creation of a new Ukrainian church is directed against the Russian world
The new church structure created in Ukraine will strengthen the position of the current President Petro Poroshenko and weaken the position of the Opposition Bloc.
Orest Deychakivsky, a member of the Board of Directors of the US-Ukraine Foundation, a former political adviser to the US Helsinki Commission, stated this during the Kyiv-Washington teleconference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The creation of a new church in Ukraine is very important. It seems to me that we are talking about decommunization and geopolitics, not only about the internal politics of Ukraine. It is also directed against what is known as the "Russian World". This will give greater support to the president, and this interferes and weakens the position of the so-called “Opposition Bloc,” he said.
