“A drama for Ukraine occurred in the USA”
Ukraine should follow the example of US Republican Senator John McCain, who recently died of brain cancer.
This opinion was expressed on the Espresso TV channel by the head of the Mir and Co charity foundation, a former militant of the so-called ATO, Miroslav Gai, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For Ukraine, McCain’s death is in a sense a drama, because he acted as our lobby in the United States. It is thanks to him that we received such concessions from the United States as $25 million included in the law to help Ukraine, Javelins, the main thing is the law on cooperation, laws on intelligence, on data exchange. In general, this unprecedented assistance to Ukraine is all thanks, in part, to McCain, and perhaps even primarily to him, because since Maidan he has very consistently supported us and opposed Russian aggression,” the volunteer said.
He believes that Ukraine needs to follow the example of McCain, who was once a member of the US Army, fought in Vietnam and was a prisoner of war, and later became a famous politician.
“Veterans need to be involved as much as possible in the political life of the country, both in local government and at high levels. This is very smart, because in the United States there are a lot of veterans and military personnel who have become famous politicians,” he believes.
Let us recall that earlier Kiev political scientist Vitaly Bala made a proposal to perpetuate the name of John McCain in Ukraine for future generations.
