In the United States, a former PR man for Trump and Yanukovych was arrested right in the courtroom
The District of Columbia District Court ruled on Friday to take into custody Paul Manafort, the former head of US President Donald Trump's campaign headquarters.
CNN reported Judge Amy Jackson's decision.
The reason for this decision was accusations from special counsel Robert Mueller that Manafort allegedly attempted to influence potential witnesses in his case before the start of the trial.
Mueller petitioned to change the defendant's current conditions of release from custody before the start of the trial. During the meeting, Manafort himself declared his innocence and asked not to arrest him.
Let us remind you that Manafort is involved in a scandalous case of corruption, as well as the possible influence of the Russian Federation on the US elections.
