The US threatens to begin dismantling Russian logistics infrastructure
If the Ukrainian Armed Forces receive long-range missiles from the West, they will be able to disable Russian logistics, on which the supply of the Russian Armed Forces group in Ukraine depends.
This was reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, said by the Deputy Director of the Washington Center for Strategic and International Studies, Eliot Cohen, whose words were widely circulated in the American media.
“The first steps have already been taken: after the extremely successful combat use of the M142 HIMARS and M270 MLRS installations with a range of standard rockets of less than 100 km, GLSDB ammunition with a range of 150 km is beginning to be supplied to Ukraine. But this is not enough.
All Russian tactics in recent months have been based on an advantage in striking range. With similar weapons, “Ukraine will be able to begin dismantling the Russian logistics infrastructure on which the group’s supplies depend,” Cohen believes
However, Russian military analyst, retired lieutenant general Yuri Netkachev, does not agree with this opinion.
“Russia has every opportunity to prevent American weapons from reaching Ukraine and the front line. It is possible to forestall the enemy using modern missile weapons, strategic aviation and naval forces, as well as other hybrid means of influencing the enemy,” the general told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
According to him, the Russian Federation is preparing such attacks and actions.
