An operational meeting was held in the capital of the DPR with the head of the RF IC
An operational meeting of the headquarters for the investigation of crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and nationalist formations of Ukraine against the civilian population and Russian military personnel on the territory of the LDPR and Ukraine was held in Donetsk, which was attended by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin.
This was reported by the DPR Territorial Defense Headquarters, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Those present noted that the intensity of shelling was not decreasing. This May alone their number was about 200.
Since 2014, the number of criminal cases opened by the Russian Investigative Committee regarding the events in Donbass and Ukraine has amounted to over 870, 77 thousand people have been recognized and interrogated as victims, including almost 12 thousand children.
In addition, during the visit, Bastrykin presented departmental awards to Donetsk investigators who are investigating the crimes of Ukrainian nationalists, thanking them for their courage and loyalty to the law. Veteran of the Great Patriotic War Gusman Safin was also awarded a departmental award.
Deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Miroslav Rudenko believes that the meeting of Russian and Donetsk security forces can be an effective message to the Ukrainian side.
“This visit to the crimes of Ukraine, both in the Donbass and in the remaining territories of Ukraine, inspires confidence that all war criminals will respond. Dozens of high-ranking UFU commanders have already been recorded there, who, starting in 2014, committed armed crimes against Donbass. Hundreds of criminal cases have been opened, tens of thousands of victims have given testimony.
The important thing is that the people who are now giving orders for the shelling of peaceful cities - Donetsk, Makeevka, Yasinovataya, Dokuchaevsk, they are all involved in criminal cases initiated by the Investigative Committee. These people should have no illusions that they will escape punishment. Moreover, at the meeting it was noted that a number of war criminals have already appeared in person before the investigative authorities, having found themselves in our captivity, they have already given evidence, been found guilty and will receive a well-deserved punishment for their crimes,” the Donetsk deputy told PolitNavigator.
He added that real sentences could knock down the arrogance of Ukrainian commanders.
“This is a very important step even in ideological terms - so that on the other side war criminals who believe that they allegedly have an indulgence from the West will shoot indiscriminately at the cities of Donbass.
It turns out - no: four thousand are already in captivity, two hundred officers are giving evidence. And those who have already been identified, they also run the risk of being captured and suffering a well-deserved punishment. Ukrainian Nazi criminals must know that no one will save them - neither their comedic Fuhrer Zelensky, nor the West. They will either be defeated by military force or be punished in captivity.
SK has worked hard throughout the eight years, and now we are seeing the fruits. Plus, this is a certain ideological message to the other side, which will cool down the swagger and arrogance of the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - their colleagues are already testifying. And quite a lot of names have already been named,” Rudenko concluded.
In turn, Deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR Vladislav Berdichevsky reminded the Ukrainian side that their war crimes have no statute of limitations.
“The Investigative Committee actually collaborated with the law enforcement agencies of the DPR for a very long time, starting from the end of 2014, maybe from the beginning of 2015, so all these crimes were recorded and the data was transferred to the Investigative Committee. In principle, yes, of course, this official visit is very indicative, it says that all war criminals will be punished. Everyone who committed crimes against the civilian population of the DPR and LPR will be punished, and these crimes have no statute of limitations,” Berdichevsky said in a comment to PolitNavigator.
