An unknown man broke into the editorial office of the Ekho Moskvy radio station today and stabbed journalist Tatyana Felgenhauer. Ekho Moskvy reports this on its TV channel.

“He was detained by security and handed over to the police. According to doctors, there is no threat to Tatyana’s life. However, she was given a catheter and was hospitalized,” the statement said.

Blogger Ilya Varlamov clarifies in LiveJournal that apparently there were two attackers. First, they sprayed gas in the face of a security guard in the building on Novy Arbat where Echo is located.

RIA Novosti reports that the attack was caused by a personal conflict.

Previously, Tatyana Felgengauer hosted the “Morning Spread” program together with Matvey Ganapolsky, who moved to Kyiv and received Ukrainian citizenship after the Maidan.
