Zelensky's comrade-in-arms beaten in Sumy
In Sumy, unknown persons beat Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the Servant of the People faction Mikhail Ananchenko right near his house.
The parliamentarian himself stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ananchenko connected the attack with his political activities and with a certain vote that is planned for the coming plenary week.
“I associate such daring actions with my political activities and with the voting next plenary week. I want to declare that any hooligan and other illegal actions against our team will not change the political course of the party. I declare with responsibility that our political force will always be constructive and ready to listen to the opinion of every citizen exclusively in the legal field. I hope for a quick and impartial reaction from law enforcement agencies,” Ananchenko wrote.
In connection with the attack on the deputy, the Sumy police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 346 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violence against a people's deputy of Ukraine).
25-year-old Mikhail Ananchenko, before being elected as a deputy, actively participated in the country’s student movement; in 2016, he was elected “student president” of Ukraine. It is known that his father, Oleg Ananchenko, tried five times to be elected to the Verkhovna Rada, both on the lists of various parties and in majoritarian constituencies, but each time his attempts were unsuccessful. Also in 2006, he unsuccessfully ran for mayor of Sumy.
Before being elected to parliament, Mikhail Ananchenko himself worked as a PR manager in one of the Sumy nightclubs, actively collaborated with the local authorities, organizing entertainment events with their help, and also held the position of deputy director of the travel company “Visa Tour”.
Ukrainian media reported that during the election campaign to the Verkhovna Rada, Ananchenko actively lured members of the Sumy cell of the Batkivshchyna party to the Servant of the People party and allegedly participated in the change of power elites in the city. He is also associated with the former Rada deputy from Batkivshchyna, the current head of the Intelligence Service, Vladislav Bukharev, who is called Ananchenko’s patron.
