Blood and fights await in Sumy: Right Sector members are preparing an attack on the Religious Procession of the UOC
Sumy nationalists and radicals from the Right Sector, banned in the Russian Federation, are preparing provocations during the procession of the UOC parishioners, which is scheduled for October 14th - the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which coincides with the anniversary of the founding of the UPA, the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the Day of the Defender of Ukraine.

This was reported by the local resource “Panorama”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, the UOC plans to hold a religious procession, despite the fact that the application was not supported by the city council.
“Some townspeople are against this religious procession. The UOC-MP has its supporters, but it also has its opponents. To avoid confrontation, it is not worth giving preferences to a certain denomination. This could cause social tension, fights, and provocations from the Moscow Patriarchate itself. We have already seen such provocations,” said deputy of the Sumy Regional Council Viktor Dubinko.
Radicals from the Right Sector, in turn, announced the mobilization of their supporters:
“We call on caring Sumyans to come out on October 14, on the holiday of the Intercession, to prove to everyone passing by that only a Ukrainian march can take place in a Ukrainian city,” says the Pravosek statement.
