"At the village Bugrovatoye, Akhtyrsky district, July 9 at 23 p.m. 43 min., at oil well No. 346 of the Bugruvat field of NGDU Okhtyrkaneftegaz PJSC Ukrnafta, due to a violation of the technological process during routine repairs of the oil well pump, an oil leak occurred, followed by a fire over an area of up to 400 m2. As a result of the fire, 3 employees of the Okhtyrkaneftegaz oil and gas production department were injured and were hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Akhtyrka Central District Hospital,” the State Emergency Service said in a statement.
According to the State Emergency Service, at 00 o'clock. 50 min. Fire and rescue units consisting of 5 departments extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire and the extent of material losses are being established.
As Navigator reported, on June 17, an explosion occurred on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline near the village of Lokhvitsa, Poltava region: the flames from the explosion rose to a height of about 200 meters.
