“We appeal to the Ukrainian authorities, in particular to the president of this country, to hand over Mikheil Saakashvili as convicted and wanted by our country,” Zaza Agladze, a member of the Our Homeland party, told reporters.
The chairman of Our Motherland, Zviad Chitishvili, even promised that his party would pay for Saakashvili’s extradition to Georgia.
Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in Georgia Georgy Nazarov met with the protesters. The protesters handed him a petition and familiarized him with the demands.
He explained to the audience that diplomatic departments do not deal with extradition issues, but promised to forward the demands to the central office.
