Ternopil, October 07 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) –  A police lieutenant colonel in the Ternopil region demanded a bribe for training a dog by dog ​​handlers.

As the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported, the policeman extorted money from a private individual for services that fell within the competence of the unit he headed.

In particular, the head of the canine center, subordinate to the regional police, received 3 thousand UAH in bribe from a resident of Ternopil for placing a dog in this canine center and training it by specialists.

The regional prosecutor's office completed an investigation against the policeman under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of unlawful benefit by an official). The indictment for criminal proceedings was sent to court.
