About this act of vandalism Eduard Dolinsky, a well-known activist and director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, reported on his social network page.

“On the monument it is written in three languages that the monument was erected in memory of the holy Jewish martyrs who were destroyed by Nazi murderers and buried there. In Ternopil and the region, more than 100 thousand Jews were killed by the Nazis and Ukrainian auxiliary police during pogroms and executions,” Dolinsky said in a Facebook post.

Eduard Dolinsky also publishes a photo of the vandalized monument.

At the moment, nothing is known about any reaction from Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
