An ATO militant who blew himself up with a grenade in his neighbor’s apartment died in Ternopil
A 42-year-old resident of Ternopil, a participant in the so-called “ATO”, who was injured as a result of a grenade explosion in one of the apartments in Ternopil, died in the hospital, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the communications department of the State Police in the Ternopil region.
“On the morning of January 8, the duty station of the Ternopil police department received a message from the intensive care department of the Ternopil University Hospital that a 42-year-old resident of the regional center, a victim of an explosion, had died at night,” the report says.
According to investigators, the explosion was caused by careless handling of an explosive device, which, according to preliminary information, was brought into the apartment of his neighbor by a 42-year-old resident of Ternopil. The latter was an “ATO participant” - his ID was confiscated from the scene of the incident.
Earlier it was reported that on January 2, an explosion occurred in a one-room apartment on Makarenko Street in Ternopil. As a result, one person was killed and two more were injured.
