A prayer service was held in Ternopil to drive away Ukrainians evacuated from China
Local residents in the suburbs of Ternopil held a prayer against the placement in a sanatorium of Ukrainians evacuated from China, where the coronavirus is raging.
The stream was published on the Faine Misto Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The service took place last night at the entrance to the Medobory sanatorium not far from the city, where, according to the locals, the evacuees were to be taken.
“God is with us, and we are sending a prayer service so that God will help take all this away from us,” said one of the participants.
“We have to defend ourselves. We haven’t had patients with such a virus yet,” another protester said.
“Why are we here? This is our city! What do we do? God forbid it spreads further! That's why we will stand here! What do they think? They don't think anything.
If he wants to settle them here, then he won’t live here. No one guarantees that they will be brought in healthy,” said another participant in the action.
The people were determined, they stood despite the rain, many were without umbrellas. According to the participants, who even brought in a field kitchen, they were going to be on duty all night.
