“In Turkey they also know” - Senator Klimov advised NATO members not to test the strength of the Russian military doctrine
Russian military doctrine is structured in such a way that the Russian Federation can defend itself and its allies in all directions at once, and not just from a single NATO member country.
Chairman of the temporary commission of the Federation Council for the protection of state sovereignty Andrei Klimov stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Taking into account the fact that military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey is now greatly increasing - a permanent representation of the Turkish army was recently established in Baku, how do Russian political circles react to such steps, to such rapprochement, taking into account that Turkey is, after all, from the camp potential enemy - NATO? – asked the Armenian journalist.
“In fact, NATO calls us a potential adversary. We keep talking about partners, basically, we have partners everywhere,” Klimov clarified.
“Our Russian military doctrine is designed in such a way that by defending ourselves and our allies, we can resist all the others combined, not just one of the members. And everyone who needs it knows. Therefore, of course, we are interested in various situations of this kind, we have specialists who understand this. But what I said is decisive,” the senator added.
“I would not advise anyone to check what it might look like, because this test will not end well for anyone. And our colleagues and partners in Ankara also understand this well,” concluded Klimov.
