UDAR wants to know Akhmetov’s clear position regarding the events in Donbass
Kyiv, May 11 (Navigator, Vladimir Semenov) – In Kyiv, they are wary of the latest statement from the Metinvest holding company owned by Renat Akhmetov calling to stop the ATO in Donbass. The oligarch must clearly demonstrate his position in the context of the ongoing referendum on self-determination of the region.

People's Deputy from the UDAR faction Pavel Rozenko told Navigator about this.
“There is no referendum, there are pictures for the media that will tell how big the turnout is, what percentage of votes, etc. The large influx of people to polling stations can be explained by the fact that in a number of Donbass cities not all polling stations are open - people go to the remaining ones. Ukraine under no circumstances recognizes either the very fact of holding this referendum or its results...”, the Kiev politician is confident.
In his opinion, the demarche of the Akhmetov holding characterizes the ambiguous position of the Donetsk elite.
“Metinvest’s statement that the ATO needs to be stopped, to be honest, I did not fully understand, because I still do not understand the position of many of the influential people, in particular, regarding this referendum. I have not heard Metinvest or SCM anywhere express their position on the illegal actions currently taking place. I'd like to know her. Of course, it’s good that Akhmetov says that Donetsk is Ukraine, but this is not enough,” the deputy believes.
“We must understand that the ATO does not excite any of the Kyiv politicians, but, on the other hand, when we do not see any reaction from the Donetsk elite to what is happening in the East, this is alarming,” Pavel Rozenko emphasized.
