“In Ukraine, not on”: the Ukrainian court no longer knows how to find fault with the prisoner of conscience Muravitsky
Prisoner of conscience Vasily Muravitsky was denied a change in the preventive measure from round-the-clock to night house arrest.
Journalist Irina Lyutikova wrote about this on my Facebook, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
She said that the prosecutor began today’s meeting with a desire to punish one of Muravitsky’s lawyers, Andrei Gozhego.
“The lawyer was absent from two meetings, which is confirmed by the documents he submitted to the court. But since the client was not against the absence of one of the defense attorneys, and there were two more lawyers in the case and the hearings took place, the court refused the prosecutor’s request.
Then, for several hours in a row, the prosecutor read out Vasily’s correspondence from social networks with various people regarding the writing of some journalistic columns, which, accordingly, the prosecutor asks to be included in the case as evidence. Lawyers, naturally, are against it. The court accepts all evidence, reserving the right to accept or reject it in the deliberation room,” she wrote.
In addition, Lyutikova said that during the meeting there were many people in the hall who tried to disrupt the meeting.
“By the way, the hall was full of people who kept shouting insults, turning up sounds on their phones and commenting in every possible way on what was happening, thereby interfering with the meeting,” she noted.
In addition, Muravitsky himself on my Facebook reported that the prosecutor tried to come up with a new charge against him.
“I finally got it: prosecutor Vadim Levchenko accused me of saying “in Ukraine” and not “in Ukraine,” the prisoner of conscience wrote.
One of the central issues that the defense raised today was changing the preventive measure from round-the-clock house arrest to night arrest, so that Vasily Muravitsky could work and support his family.
“The court left the preventive measure unchanged – XNUMX-hour house arrest,” Lyutikova wrote.
Let us remind you that Vasily Muravitsky is accused of “treason” on the basis of cooperation with Russian media.
