The head of the Ministry of Energy, Igor Nasalik, announced this during the hour of questions to the government, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the national action plan, introduced the day before at a meeting of the crisis headquarters, begins to take effect today.
“Today the National Action Plan was adopted. It provides for: the transfer of generating companies from gas to fuel oil, which will save about 15-20 million cubic meters of gas per day. To put this decision into effect, the ministry contacted the European Secretariat and informed that within five days (this is the period for which this plan was introduced) we will use fuel oil.
Second. We recommended completely stopping work in school, preschool and higher educational institutions until March 6 and ensuring that the temperature regime in these institutions is within the minimum acceptable standards,” Nasalik said.
