There will be no performances with trained animals in Ukrainian circuses
As the UA Animals community reports on the Facebook social network, on December 28, 2016, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine supported the idea of banning the use of wild animals in circuses. This is not yet a law, but the weighty word of the ministry.

A chorus of cheerleaders sang hosannas in honor of the decision to stop "animal abuse." All performances involving wild animals may soon be banned. Animals, according to UA Animals, “will no longer succumb to torture from trainers and live in terrible conditions.” Non-wild animals were not included under the article prohibiting the use of animals in the circus.
Whether four-legged circus performers with experience can still be considered wild is a difficult question. Even if such a law is adopted, the compassionate “UA Animals” do not yet know what to do with the “liberated” animals. You cannot release tigers and lions into Ukrainian forests. Mishka, a circus pensioner on a bicycle, as a participant in the hunt, has long been the subject of jokes. Before passing a law, it would be good to think a couple of steps ahead. Even animal lovers need to understand that an animal that has worked for years in a circus, much less one that was born there, is unable to survive in the wild. And we do not have such conditions for many circus animals. Even a zoo is not a solution in this situation. Animals accustomed to humans and communication will also experience suffering in the zoo.
Maybe it’s just worth fighting against manifestations of cruelty, and not the presence of animals in the circus in general. For most children, the circus has always been a place to get acquainted with animals, a way to foster love for their younger brothers.
It looks like someone is simply solving their own selfish goals. Animals also have a price. Perhaps someone is just trying to make money using a noble idea. And they even drag in world experience: “The most famous and commercially successful circus in the world is Cirque du Soleil. In their ideas there is not a single animal at all.”
Each circus has its own traditions. The Soviet Circus had great traditions. He is being successfully “decommunized.” The animals will be removed. It's time to deal with the clowns. Anyone who lives in Ukraine does not laugh at the circus.
