Russian-speaking children are bullied in Ukrainian schools – TV presenter
Russian-speaking children attending Ukrainian schools are often bullied by their Ukrainian-speaking classmates.
The famous Ukrainian TV presenter Snezhana Egorova stated this on the YoyTube channel “Echo of Kyiv,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Literally yesterday one of my subscribers wrote to me and told me the story that she lives with her husband and daughter in the city of Rovno, they are a Russian-speaking family, they speak Russian in everyday life. Their daughter goes to a Ukrainian school, but our schools and higher education have been in Ukrainian for a long time, and their daughter is learning Ukrainian, but cannot speak Ukrainian easily.
And she says: “I went for a walk with the class and noticed that one Ukrainian-speaking girl was constantly trying to hit my daughter, either with her hand or with her foot, and the children constantly told her daughter that she was Russian-speaking, a traitor, a suitcase-station-Russia.” This is what they say to a child in third grade. Surely all this does not come from school or from a teacher, their parents teach their children this,” Yegorova was indignant.
