The Ukrainian media is hysterical - a famous historian from Lviv left to work for Russia Today
Former director of the Center for Urban History of Central and Eastern Europe in Lviv Tariq Cyril Amar refused to work in Ukraine and moved to Russian Today.
This was reported in the local news agency “4 Studio” with reference to the historian of the Ukrainian Catholic University Mikhail Martynenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Tariq Amar is a prominent American historian who has spent a long time researching the history of Lvov. From 2007 to 2010 he headed the Center for Urban History of Central and Eastern Europe in Lviv. He wrote several books about the history of Lviv, in 2010 the Lviv City Council even marked him with a golden coat of arms (however, later Tariq Amar refused this award).
However, now the American historian has moved to work from the Ukrainian historical center to the Russian information resource “Russian Today”, which the Ukrainian nationalist did not like very much.
“And right now, when more and more echelons and columns of Russian troops are being pulled up to the Russian-Ukrainian border, ready at the first signal to launch an offensive on the territory of Ukraine, this “researcher” writes on RT about “Kyiv’s crimes against (almost verbatim quote ) "weak rebels in Donbass".
For which Amaru, of course, has a separate pot in hell prepared for him. Morality. Sooner or later, the careers of professional “fighters against ethno-nationalism” may slide into this direction. To the level of “expert” in RT,” they are furious in the Ukrainian media.
