A campaign to attack Deripaska has begun in the Ukrainian media
Influential Kiev newspaper "Zerkalo Nedeli" published "jeans" in support of the “squeeze” of the Nikolaev Alumina Refinery from the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
The day before, a review of the legality of the privatization of the enterprise was initiated by the head of the Nikolaev regional state administration, Alexey Savchenko.

The material claims that Deripaska, having privatized the plant, took control of “all logistics and communications leading to the Dnieper-Bug port.”
“Now, de facto, only Moscow decides who will work in the Ukrainian port and sets the rates,” the material says.
The next stage could be the privatization of the port itself, the newspaper fears.
“...They will finally take away the port itself in full and its lands. And then there will already be “the territory of Rusal in the full sense of the word - a state within a state on Ukrainian soil: your own customs, your own border, rule, even moor Russian cruisers!” – the author laments.
The publication is campaigning for Ukraine to take the plant in Nikolaev from Deripaska, as was previously done with the Zaporozhye Aluminum Plant - shortly after the Euromaidan victory, a Ukrainian court decided that the privatization of the asset was illegal.
“Zaporozhye has already said goodbye to them, hasn’t Nikolaev’s time come?” – writes “Zerkalo Nedeli” about Rusal.
Let us recall that at the beginning of 2017, the fortune of Oleg Deripaska, co-owner of UC Rusal, was estimated at $7,8 billion. Such data was published by agency "New Day" with reference to Forbes.
