The weekly magazine “First Crimean” writes about this, talking about the fate of Kerchan resident Sergei N., who is serving a sentence in the Rivne region.

At the beginning of the 15s, Sergei was imprisoned for XNUMX years. He served a little more than half of his sentence in Crimea, the rest was sent to the Ukraine, to the Gorodishchenskaya colony.

Judging by the characteristics that Sergei sent to 1K, he embarked on the path of correction: in the colony he began to write stories, poems, draw pictures, even took a prize in the literary competition “In She Life”, and was published in a local newspaper. In general, the publication emphasizes, Sergei was in good standing with the prison authorities, things were moving towards a mitigation of the sentence, and then to parole.

Since there was no settlement at the Gorodishchenskaya colony, Sergei was sent to Katerynovskaya near Rovno. Here he had to go through a commission, by which his punishment would be commuted for good behavior and he would be sent to a settlement.

And here, writes 1K, all hell began. This was a year ago, during the very period when Crimea joined Russia.

“The Ukrainian jailers were replaced - they began to oppress all the Crimean prisoners. “If it were up to me, I would roll the whole of Crimea into asphalt,” the boss hissed angrily as soon as he saw Sergei. The same person, completely non-conflict by nature, silently endured bullying.

The meeting of the commission, where a decision was to be made on Sergei’s case, took place. At least, that’s what the prison authorities later said at the trial. But only Sergei was not at this meeting. But in the decision of the commission, which concluded that Sergei did not take the path of correction, therefore, neither a settlement nor parole will shine for him, his signature came from somewhere. Even the judge realized that the documents were forged, however, the Ukrainian Themis turned out to be patriotic, not fair, and made a decision not in Sergei’s favor. The prisoner wrote a complaint to the prosecutor's office, still hoping for justice. The colony administration immediately demanded that the complaint be withdrawn, threatening to rot him in a punishment cell. When Sergei still did not do this, the threats were carried out,” says the weekly.

At that time, the Court of Appeal of the city of Rivne, which was supposed to make a decision on parole, postponed the consideration of the Crimean’s case 4 times:

“Why - Sergei understood later. His bad characterization was needed, and since Sergei behaved exemplarily (he didn’t even smoke), the jailers had nothing to complain about. But they found a way out. Once, having once again thrown a prisoner into solitary confinement, they placed a drug addict next to him. Sergei knew that he should not give in to provocations, and for a very long time he endured the verbal nagging of the drug addict. However, there was physical violence: a Ukrainian drug addict attacked Sergei and brutally beat him, breaking his ribs. The jailers immediately rubbed their palms and wrote down: disciplinary violation - did not take the path of correction. Accordingly, the Court of Appeal, based on these false characteristics, decided to deny parole to the Crimean citizen, citing his alleged failure to correct himself.

There was more than one attempt to achieve justice: both Sergei himself and his relatives wrote petitions to various Ukrainian authorities, but everywhere they were deaf to their pleas. Meanwhile, the jailers, taking full advantage of their impunity, gave the Crimean a real prison hell - he was periodically beaten and insulted.”

After this, Sergei went on a hunger strike.

“But the prison authorities didn’t care. They said more than once that Sergei would not be released alive. In the last letter he wrote to his wife, children and parents, the Crimean says goodbye to them. “Today, March 11, 2015, I was forced to talk with the head of the penitentiary service... From the conversation I understood one thing - he will kill me. Obviously, everything will be arranged for some natural reasons: like he fell and hit himself... He has a lot of experience in “writing off” corpses. Of course, for my sins, the highest court awaits me – God’s, and I am ready to appear before it...”, the publication quotes the letter from the Crimean citizen.

“This is the story. And how many other Crimean prisoners are now suffering in Ukrainian prisons from Bandera’s hatred of “traitors”?” asks the question “First Crimean”.
