The commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades located in the Joint Forces Operation zone were given an unspoken instruction to begin collecting funds for gifts to the operation commander Sergei Naev in connection with his birthday and the anniversary of taking office.
This information was announced today during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he said that, under the leadership of the commander of the occupation forces in Donbass, Naev, preparations are being made for events dedicated to the anniversary of his assumption of this position - April 30. This date also coincides with his birthday, so the festive events promise to be truly large-scale.
Bezsonov also noted that many journalists and political figures were invited to participate in them in the combat zone.
“Naev’s first deputy, General Kovalchuk, gave instructions to subordinate commanders to collect funds for gifts to their commander. Brigade commanders took different approaches to implementing these instructions. For example, in the 30th and 93rd mechanized brigades, fuel sales increased. In the 79th Air Assault Brigade and the 35th Marine Brigade, brigade commanders, through fraud through financial authorities, cut due payments to subordinate servicemen,” said a representative of the defense department.
He added that the money stolen from the state and soldiers will be used for gifts for the general.
