It follows from the report that 45 military personnel died from various diseases, which is 37% more than last year,” the department said in a statement.
According to this document, 31 people died in the ground forces, 7 in direct subordinate units, 3 in the air force, 3 in the airborne assault forces, and 1 soldier in the special operations forces.
“The main diseases that led to the death of military personnel are cardiovascular diseases - 75%, gastrointestinal diseases - 5%, oncology - 11%, other diseases - 9%. 87% of the deaths were between the ages of 30 and 50,” added the Defense Ministry of the Republic.
In addition, military doctors emphasize the critical situation in the field of healthcare in general in Ukraine - according to their information, 25% of adults from 18 to 65 years old have chronic diseases that can lead to death.
Let us remind you that earlier the People's Militia of the DPR reported that winter bad weather and seasonal epidemics among military personnel of the Ukrainian 57th motorized infantry brigade, occupying the northwestern approaches to Donetsk, led to the fact that the number of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers on the front line has been halved from what is required.
