The priest of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC), unrecognized in the Orthodox world, Andrei Kulitsky became the first religious figure in Ukraine to be officially employed in the National Guard as a military chaplain and received a certificate of participation in the so-called “ATO”.

It is noted that, while performing his everyday work in the unit, the chaplain puts on a military uniform, and conducts services in a cassock, over camouflage.
“In normal, safe conditions, I put on a cassock, and when combat conditions are going on, at the front, of course, I put on my uniform,” said the pop-atoshnik.
