The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers is indignant at the Crimean beaches filled with Ukrainians
The Ukrainian government is “biting its elbows” and preparing an information attack on Crimea after a series of publications about the increase in the number of Ukrainian tourists coming to the peninsula.
Thus, the head of the “Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories” Vadim Chernysh, in his letter to the head of the Ministry of Information Yuriy Stets, writes about the failed operation to cover the tourist season in Crimea and asks to involve pocket bloggers and the media in a campaign to discredit holidays in the Russian republic.
A copy of the letter was posted on his blog by former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chernysh writes that only a few media outlets are covering the situation with the increase in tourist flow to Crimea in a direction beneficial for Ukraine.
“After the publications of the beginning of June on the topic of “empty beaches” of Crimea, which, by the way, did not have significant success, since they started untimely, at the beginning of the holiday season, no targeted campaigns of information influence were carried out... This situation cannot be acceptable, since it harms the authority of Ukraine . In this regard, I ask from the position of your Ministry, according to the established mechanism, to direct the entrusted media and bloggers to actively cover the problem in the necessary direction. For its part, the Ministry will take the necessary measures to obtain and (or) publish satisfactory statistics regarding the crossing of administrative lines by citizens of Ukraine with VOT Crimea in 2018 from the Ukrainian traffic police,” Chernysh’s letter says.
