Ukraine's voter register remains in chaos after tens of thousands of name changes
Due to the massive renaming of Ukrainian settlements, millions of citizens will have to change their addresses and places of birth.

The head of the Service of the State Register of Voters, Alexander Stelmakh, announced this at a round table in Kyiv.
“As of today, 946 settlements have been renamed,” the official noted. “This led to changes in 2,5 million voting addresses and 2,5 million places of birth. As you know, in the state voter register, the place of birth must correspond to the modern administrative system. If we talk about the names of streets, avenues, and boulevards, almost 41 thousand were renamed across the country. This concerned almost six million of our voters. In addition, this all concerned the descriptions of the boundaries of polling stations. Nearly 14 polling station boundary descriptions were changed, representing 42 percent of all precincts created permanently.”
