“On April 28, T-64 tanks of the Ukrainian army left the city of Konstantinovka for the city of Dzerzhinsk (renamed by the Kyiv authorities to Toretsk). They were given the order to relocate to the front line and settle in the location of one of the tank units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The tanks were already approaching Dzerzhinsk, moving one after another along a country road, when suddenly a strong explosion occurred between two tanks that were keeping a short distance along the way.
It later turned out that an anti-tank mine had exploded on the dirt road. The explosion damaged the vehicle's chassis. Other tanks stopped, fearing that the entire road was mined.
Repairmen and a group of Ukrainian sappers were sent to the scene of the explosion. Mining experts inspected the section of the road where one of the tanks was blown up. The command of the local group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is now thinking about who could have mined the road located in the rear,” reports Kharkova.
